Juke told him that Davina was the one who set him up but he wrote her off and when it came to Tariq he killed Juke over him. Maybe Kanan saw his Tariq's d-game potential because he reminded him of Ghost and tried to use it to his advantage to get back at Ghost but identified with Tariq by being kept out of the loop and wanting to be in the drug game.his relationship with Davina is probably showing us that if Kanan feels deeply for a person, he makes irrational decisions. We all realize Ghost was a smarter hustler than Kanan, especially since Ghost was the one who got him locked-up and always outwitted him.Tariq might be more like his father than he thought. Kanan basically claimed Tariq as his son and Tariq rocked with Kanan super-hard over his dad.
